Preparing for Portfolio Reviews with scott b. davis

Join Medium for an informative workshop with photographer and Executive Director of the Medium Festival of Photography, scott b. davis. This workshop presents valuable information on how photographers can prepare for a portfolio review event and surveys the landscape of national portfolio reviews available. In the workshop we will explore key points about planning, editing, and presenting your work for curators, gallery owners, and editors who participate in the Eye to Eye Portfolio Reviews. Increasingly popular, portfolio review events are an ideal way to network and meet with influential industry experts. The workshop is geared to getting the most out of your time with industry leaders by helping prepare you for any review event. Workshop participants are invited to bring a portfolio of 10-20 images (prints only, space is limited) for a limited number of practice sessions during the workshop.
scott b. davis has maintained a robust career as a fine art photographer for more than 20 years. His background includes over 15 years working in museum collections and a personal history working with galleries, editors, and curators in support of his photography career. In 2012 he founded the Medium Festival of Photography and continues to serve as its Executive Director. Davis’s photographs can be found in museum collections including the J. Paul Getty Museum, the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, Santa Barbara Museum of Art, and San Diego’s own Museum of Photographic Arts. His work is represented by the Etherton Gallery in Tucson and Sloan Projects in Santa Monica.
