Claudia Kunin’s work with photography makes the invisible visible. Utilizing different methods of presentation to create a haunting milieu, her creative output culminates by animating her 3-D photographic montages to create short yet compelling films.

John Chiara creates one-of-a-kind photographs using hand-built cameras ranging up to a 50″x80″ field camera transported by the artist on a flatbed trailer. His images can take half a day to make plus another half-day to process by hand – a procedure that often leaves unpredictable traces on the resulting photographs.

Christina Seely’s photographs focus on global systemics and aim to use tools of human comprehension (scaling to the human body, the temporal or narrative, mirroring, and the experiential, etc.,) to help a public register the abstract complexities of climate change.

J. Grant Brittain has photographed the skateboarding community for almost 40 years, helping to define the careers of many pivotal figures in the history of the sport. His photographs have defined the look of an entire genre and influenced generations of photographers.

Exhibition and Gallery Tours: a day-long tour visiting the photography collection at MOPA, a solo exhibition by Brenda Biondo at the San Diego Museum of Art, and two group exhibitions “The Dream of the Nineties” at the San Diego Central Library, and “We Are Here/Estamos Aquí” at the SDSU Downtown Gallery.
Private Collection Tour: a day-long tour visiting two museum-quality photography collections that highlighted 19th century masterworks as well as 20th century and contemporary works by prominent artists who have shaped the medium of photography.
