Size Matters: A Juried Exhibition Celebrating Small Works

loeber-jennifer4

2016 Size Matters Juror’s Choice Award winner Jennifer Loeber

Size Matters is the signature exhibition of the Medium Festival of Photography, hosted each year during the Festival in San Diego. In 2016 we’re proud to partner with Lensculture and Low Gallery to host Size Matters and exhibition curator Allie Haeusslein, the Associate Director of Pier 24 Photography in San Francisco. Each helped make the 2016 exhibition a bold success!

We will post works by the participating artists in Size Matters in Fall 2016. We’re proud to have purchased a work by Jennifer Loeber (pictured above), chosen as the Purchase Award for Size Matters. Medium will make a donation of the work to the permanent collection of the San Diego Museum of Art after the close of the exhibition.

About the Curator

Allie Haeusslein is the Associate Director at Pier 24 Photography in San Francisco, one of the largest spaces dedicated to photography in the United States.

We’re honored to have Allie as the curator for Size Matters, selecting the exhibition content and purchase award. Her background as a photography curator, writer, and historian promises an unforgettable exhibition.
